Little Sauble Point Lighthouse
The tall conical light was constructed in 1874 to mark a sandy headland on this lightly populated stretch of Lake Michigan’s coast. Little Sauble remains virtually unchanged. Its materials were transported to the site by water. Built of red brick, which was originally whitewashed, the 107 foot tower retains its original third-order lens and the light is still in service. Little Sauble Point is now open for tours.
Cherry Point Farm & Market
Cherry Point Farm is one of the oldest operating farms in Oceana County, Michigan; just a mile from the Lake Michigan shoreline and minutes from the Silver Lake sand dunes. Join us for a fish boil, a walk in the labyrinth and herb garden, a quick stop to pick up fresh produce for dinner and a cherry strudel or turnovers for breakfast.
The excitement of Silver Lake starts at Parrot’s Landing, with recreational rentals for great family fun on the sand and water. Take on the Silver Lake Sand Dunes in a rugged Jeep Wrangler. Muskegon Winter Sports Complex
Don’t wait for snow. Luge in the Summer. Slide down the only wheel luge track in North America! Wheel luge is done on a specially designed track with the same sleds we use on the ice, but with wheels attached. The track is separate from the ice track, and is a great learning tool to introduce participants to the sport year-round! The design of the track, adaptive equipment and surrounding common areas also accommodate persons with disabilities. Despite being shorter and slower than our ice track, it still delivers a lot of fun, with the average run taking approximately 9 seconds while covering 300 feet of track.
